Every Time It's Sunny I Step Outside Every Time It's Sunny I Step Outside began last January, shortly after I moved back to Milan after spending a month in the Philippines. Returning to winter, settling into a new house, and facing the quiet January rhythm left me searching for reasons to leave the house.

As a freelancer, periods without work often mean having to invent a structure for my days. My photography has always been closely tied to light, and I rarely feel inspired to take pictures unless the light catches my attention. So, every time the sun appeared, I stepped outside with my camera, knowing that I would come back with something.

These walks became both a personal ritual and a way of getting to know the neighborhood I had just moved into. Guided by light, I photographed ordinary details that caught my attention, and each walk transformed blue days into moments of observation.
