Lingering (Philippines, December 2025)

While travelling, I often step away from the camera, sensing that some things are not meant to be taken. Last December, I was hosted by a local community in the Philippines, and this feeling of mine intensified.

Lingering is a collection of moments that I refused to fully represent, yet still wanted to remember entirely. The photographs exist at the edges of the moment, and within the moment itself, I instead recorded some traces. The recordings hold what escapes the image, and when image and sound meet, the moment lingers — as if I’m still there, listening.
